What do you do when you’ve read all there is to read about breaking addiction, but you still fall for the same patterns

You know, recently I was talking to a friend who will be featured on the podcast by December.
She struggled with homosexuality, cocaine addiction, porn & masturbation, and witchcraft

When I asked her how she got free, she told me she made a decision
For the believer, sin is a decision, not an urge

“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.”
John 14:15

She said, “MOG, I love Jesus” with tears in her eyes
She told me how, for many nights, she cried because she didn’t smoke a blunt

My conversation with her reminded me of what was said in scripture

'We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. '
Romans 6:6
