She wants to watch p*rn with me

Reflecting on stories and how to break them through the power of isolation

Don’t let someone else’s opinion of you become your reality.

Forgive the title Bikó šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
If I had used ā€œHe wants to watch porn with meā€, you’ll start asking if Emeka is struggling with homosexual tendenciesšŸ‘€šŸ˜‚
But I started with all these because I want to gist you…

Out of 100% of the ladies I help get off their addiction, 20% of them were introduced to pornography by their boyfriends (whether former or current).
That’s actually a scary statistic considering how many people I speak to concerning this subject every week.

The story always goes like this…
ā€œHe found out that I was a virgin and he took it upon himself to bring me up to speed because he said he loves me…
Whenever I said I didn’t want to watch it, he got angry telling me that if I loved him I would want to please him…
And that’s how I got addictedā€

My friend, the funny thing about this story is that it affects men and women all the same.
I’ve seen men and women get into addiction because of peer pressure and most times the only way to solve this kind of problem caused by peer pressure is by separating them from the crowd and working on their identity.

Like I said isolation is a great way to work yourself out of an addiction…
But not a lot of people are willing to walk in to a room
Shut it behind them
Sit with themselves
Ask the hard questions(what brought me here? What triggers me?)

Isolation ≠ Being lonely

You can be part of a community (which I recommend) and still practice solitude because in solitude you commune with God and he can influence you.
